this can be solved by downloading any of the "QuickMud" flavors
out there... they come pre patched with olc and color if I recall.

they work fine, as one who uses Windows for the nifty VisualStudio
prog, -irony- i know that it can be done and relatively *painlessly.
(*disclaimer: if you have a decent grasp of logic) Not having
bothered with Cygwin i am not sure about _running_ under cygwin
but compiling should be no problem
