**nod** That much was kinda made obvious with the massive log attempts. I mean, it's not hard to tell something's wrong when your log files can't be loaded in a simple text editor like Pico. Unfortunately, tracking this one down's not exactly going to be easy, as it's completely random. The only changes I made in comm over the weekend I've gone through and replaced, but it still seems to be doing it randomly. I guess I just don't get why it'd be randomly pulling this. Once I figured out that it wasn't a file problem,it was kind of obvious why reboot worked fine, but I'm completely baffled as to why it'd still be doing this, and not every time. ------------------------------------------- TJW: Head tech, Dreamless Realms Mud Personal: http://twhiting.kyndig.com Mud: http://drealms.kyndig.com Snippets http://drealms.kyndig.com/snippets Telnet telnet://drealms.kyndig.com:9275 The OLC2 Pages http://olc.kyndig.com -------------------------------------------
If a write_to_descriptor() call fails, you should close the descriptor and not do anything else with it anymore.
