If it makes you feel any better, I have a similar error under similar 
circumstances (meaning it only happens once in a blue moon and on copyover). 
The difference is I get my error as: "Close_socket: dclose not found."  Same 
thing though where it spams my log files till I shutdown the mud or the 
autoscript on the server does, then I'm left with a 20-100 meg logfile.  Not 
that my fix will help you, but I just put in a check where it gives that error 
and if it gives it more than a few times, it just gives up and moves on with an 
error message.  Seems to actually work pretty well and although I know it's not 
a true fix, it was good enough for me when it only pops up like once ever 100 
copyovers anyway.  

Heh, anyway again I'm not trying to give answer here, but just saying I feel 
for ya :)
