Teaching C, using ROM

[Rait]

Does anyone know a webpage or something that teaches C, using ROM as an
example? I've been trying to run my own MUD for a few years now, but can't
seem to find a decent coder that understands my needs, so I decided to learn
C, and i think it would be much easier if someone taught me basing on ROM.
 Oh, and where should I look for a part-time coder?
