    Yes, there is a C for Dummies.  I own a copy.  Quite useful for the
beginner and helpful lookup for the veteran.  In the first chapter there's a
cute, but oh so real, layout of code design:
1. Think of an idea to change the world.
2. Psuedocode it.
3. Pull hair out over bugs.
4. Code it.
5. Pull hair out over bugs (optional)
6. ...... so on and so forth
7. Start over (not optional)

It's worth a chuckle nonetheless.  Back to the original question, yes,
there's a C for Dummies and I recommend it.  Arkham approved :).
