I won't even comment on the 8.0 distro but to say that it's made me seriously 
think about finding another distribution for my home pc. Their "liberties" 
really are going to kick them in the tail at the end (no mp3 player at 
default, a LOT of problems with dma/dvd, etc, ick ik ick).

If you have other stuff you notice is off, or not showing up, your first place 
for linux apps should be freshmeat (http://www.freshmeat.net). There you'll 
find one of the larger repositories of apps that I've seen.
Also, if you're going to stick with psyche, check out 
http://psyche.freshrpms.net/ as they've got quite a few rpms as well built 
specifically for psyche.
