I took over an existing ROM mud and downloaded all the components and also dl'd cygwin. I made a shortcut of the Rom.exe on desktop and changed target to the Area directory with the port # I want to use. When I try to open I see a MSDOS screen flash and close immediately. The same thing happens when I try running from a Dos command prompt. After some research I was told to add "-DUnix -DNOCRYPT" to the makefile. I tried adding it the Prof, C_flags, & L_Flags but none of these variations worked. I do not get any error message at all. So I need to find out what I need to add to the makefile to make it work or if there is something else I must do.... Any and all help would be apprieciated. feel free to email me or just post a reply. (I am using it in Win to test before putting it on a Linux server)
Also I did dl and install ACK 4.3 and was able to run it fine from desktop or MSDOS prompt. Just a FYI Brian
