Sorry I was not very clear.
Currently on the server in production (deb install), I have several accounts with many aliases.



So, if I would really like to have the version that preserves all these aliases (from the old style) as in the V-card.

But, if they are going to be lost; then I will need to make a prior listing so that I can manually capture the aliases as you mentioned on the global alias table. With this feature, I will be able to prepare the pre-definitive migration or do more tests.

And then, I'll wait until you mention that it's ready to pass it on for production.

What do you mean by "currently there"? If you're talking about aliases that were in the user account already, with
the limited amount of space, then yes, those will be preserved across an 
upgrade.

If you're talking about the old style aliases that were in the vCard and
got cut off during the phaseout of vCard-borne aliases, they will continue
to be cut off at the same length.
