Us old-timers wouldn't have a problem, we'd generate the C++ code
then run it through the old precompiler that turns C++ into C.

I think the precompiler is still available, (came with Unix systems)
but I don't know whether it has kept pace with the C++ changes.

Does anybody know if this is still a viable option?
