Where do you record from then? Softsynths presumably? We could leave the monitor on and just connect up the alsa_pcm ins then maybe? That'd suit me actually as I don't have an i/o audio feedback loop on my recording setup any more. Reminds me that I must learn how to use my hardware mixer properly sometime..
