BTW I notice that Ardour now has a new document config screen which includes an option for connecting up your I/O jack ports. Not a bad idea for ourselves too - a tabbed dialog that allows the user to specify firstly type of composition (notation, midi, audio etc) and then offers connectivity questions.
Ardour is certainly getting much more user friendly - something that comes as a relief as the last few times I've started it I've not known where to begin.
