But it's a damn sight better than I was expecting. Broken preview is far less critical than broken printing. So this is progress indeed, and maybe worth the effort of having the futzed up crazy font config thing.
That reminds me of something I've been seeing in the CVS builds I've been doing (I *think* I had it in 0.9.9 too but can't be sure.)
This is building on SuSE 9.1 (KDE 3.2)
Print itself is fine. (Checked by printing to PDF direct.)
But print preview is completely broken - and I mean completely. I don't have a screenshot to hand, but all I get is a preview window which is grey, with a single 1-pixel high line (comprising intermittent black dots) about 32 pixels up from the bottom.
1) Has anyone else seen this?
2) Is there some step I'm missing (configuration-wise) before doing a print preview?
3) Would it be any use to capture the stdout/stderr of RG and sending it in, or should I build/run with some extra debug option first? I'm happy to run various tests/patches to investigate this.
