Lots of minor bugs that just make the thing look too flakey for the bigtime,
really, if you want the truth of it.

* repeating segments are really screwy
* autoscrolling is really screwy
* it's just So Damn Flickery (although it seems a bit less flickery than it
used to be... you improved it or else I'm getting used to it; not sure
which)
* segment previews are screwy (especially audio, which are so screwy they're
only a hair away from being completely useless)

The main screwy thing with MIDI is that bug I haven't gotten around to
documenting yet. Something is tripping it up. Not quite sure what, but I
keep winding up with fat lines that peel away into thin lines as the pointer
sweeps over them. It looks terrible. I'm thinking it's some overlapping
note/tied note problem, but I just haven't looked into it in a pointed way
yet to figure out exactly what's throwing it off. (But you can see it plain
as day in that file I sent you to look at.) The main screwy things with
audio are a) it's really hard to coax it into refreshing, and b) it draws
everything I recorded at a clip-proof moderate level so close to the center
that it's almost impossible to tell whether it has refreshed or not. It
usually looks like a plain straight line, no matter what. It looks like the
bit that used to redraw the preview in accordance with the output volume
slider is gone too. I have it cranked to the max, and it's still a 99%
straight line, even though it's clipping all to hell at playback time.

Didn't you switch the segment preview XOR for some HSV-based thing? It's on
my list to jiggle, and you gave me the starting point, and invited me to play
with it. Which I do want to do RSN.
