No need to, there's obviously something wrong with the logic in CompositionView::refreshArtifactsDrawBuffer()
Also, probably unrelatedly, I notice that the background pixmap for the canvas has disappeared.
I had totally forgotten about this one. Do we really need it ?
You've already remarked on the fact that selections aren't updated properly (sounds like a signal missing to me).
No, it's that a too small part of the widget is redrawn (and Silvan reported that in some cases there's a shift in redrawn content - try moving the playback pointer around).
