The answer isn't at all obvious to me either, at first glance at least. I just did a quick check to make sure basic selection commands weren't totally broken for undo in other circumstances as well, but I haven't managed to cause any crashes by simply running and undoing auto-beam commands by hand. Have you? > As a rule, it's bad form to commit anything to trunk/ in a situation > where you know for a fact that there is a nasty bug waiting for > someone else to trip over. That's true. I would say in this case that you should probably commit it, simply because you've warned us about it and we have a better chance of fixing the bug afterwards. If you commit it, I will endeavour to have a look and try to fix the problem you reported. However, I wouldn't commit unless you also know you're going to have time to check back and maybe revert it if there are still unfixed problems later. If you can't be sure of that, just send a patch to this list. Patches that are still in development probably shouldn't go on the trackers. Don't commit to trunk anything that you know can induce a new crash, without discussing it here first -- not even if the real bug isn't technically yours. > > What are the current plans in terms of release cycle, are we in > > 'development mode' or 'bugfixing/polishing mode'? :) > > I'd say we're in "whatever you're willing to do would be most > appreciated" mode. Yup! I'd say development mode.
