I might as well chip my 2 cents in on this one, even though all this  
is no longer my concern.

Because even though we weren't really part of KDE all this time, we  
still were among the biggest KDE application, and yet it was quite  
clear that KDE didn't care. It was hard enough to get a story about us  
published on dot.kde.org.
