Thank you for the help.
It works great now!
It has shaped up quite a bit. Any time Michael wants to admit he was wrong
about this port, I ready to hear his confession.
I took Chris's advice and commented out the offending line in my makefile.
Now, maybe I can be a little more helpful---if time permits.
