As I recall, at least one of you uses Eclipse.
Although I can successfully upgrade from Ubuntu 16.04 to 18.04 with
everything else, my Eclipse IDE will not initialize on 18.04. There are
work-arounds for this problem, but they are so extreme that I gave up on
that, when the first step of the work-around caused me significant other
problems.
So if you use Eclipse, beware of upgrading from Ubuntu 16.04 to 18.04,
at least until (or even 'if') that problem gets fixed.
