I have just set up a new Ubuntu Studio 18.04 from scratch, well, Core 2 Duo @2 GHz, 2 GB RAM. New SSD. It does random speed variations. I have not yet began to search for help to this, or even known how to search.
Most of the time tempo is stable, but sometimes after being stopped for a while, it may run overspeed right from the start and it takes some time to slowly settle. CPU load in those cases has been really low. I have to verify BIOS CPU settings for possible throttling. I'm using M-Audio Delta 1010LT (2 cards, master and slave, though currently only one in use for JACK) and I believe timing is not soundcard dependant - which could be the problem? System and audio hardware are not synced? pe 1. maalisk. 2019 klo 13.49 D.
