Reflecting, I realize this is in the same category as the stuff I was bitching about in the infamous "any MIDI apps for Linux that don't suck" thread whose social aftermath provided the impetus that got me to begin contributing to this project 13 years ago. It has caused unending problems for the core users. I was skeptical about the whole thing, but I decided to be adventuresome instead of conservative. It was an error.
