I'm in the middle of a huge guitar chord chart project and am too busy for TS-ing but took a quick lap just now. I used AV-Linux for a long time but when Devuan came out it monopolized my Debian-fork allotment and I had given up on the 'buntuStudio when I first tried it around the 12 mark. It was full of bugs and the 'buntu way with the desktop or things isn't really my cup of tea. But Devuan is working just fine BTW, at least for my non-developer modest needs :-)
Jack may be involved in these RG crashes, the desktop isn't, I tried Plasma as well as XFCE, same crashes. If RG is already running then starting either jack_capture OR Audacity crashes it regardless of whether qjackctl uses the pajackconnect.bsh scripts or not. Starting RG after these works out OK but unlike Audacity jack_capture creates a file from the moment it's started so that's not very practical, nonetheless it's exactly what I do when I need it. Both Suse installations and Devuan behave identical so it isn't systemd either. My Slackware-14.2 fails to boot as it will not recognize my new usb gaming keyboard, while Artix is too new and over my head, I don't even know how to update it. So there is what I can offer today.
