Not knowing it's called a mixdown I've been using jack_capture in
different distros longer than I can remember but I would really prefer
the native RG recording to a WAV file for the simple reason that jack
is often a problem on its own (right now I cannot run it on brand new
hardware under Tumbleweed). My luck with the native recorder has been
variable. Not needing jack would simplify things a LOT. I do LIKE
jack_capture but it's another link in a sometimes fragile chain.
