Unfortunately I still seem to get this with latest git and Ardour  Ardour8.12.0, in this case starting playback with jack transport enabled /and /ardour set to sync with JACK Transport, then starting playback in either rosegarden or Ardour eventually crashes Ardour with an 'POOL out of memory' kind of error.

I tried empty composition and project and ran for 100 bars with rosegarden and ardour kept up and did not crash.  I'm running 8.12 in debug mode built from source.

Do you get the crash when playing an empty rg composition and ardour project for 100 bars?

I haven't tested this yet as, meanwhile, I have re-installed my system (now CachyOS - still Arch derivative) and have to set-up a working build environment (at the time of writing archlinux.org seems to be down).

What I did notice is that even with a packaged version 25.12-1.1 with _some pieces_ (possibly older ones or created some time ago), the transport isn't working well.

For example in some cases clicking on the timeline to have the playhead 'jump' there while playing-back doesn't work, and the only way to move is to first stop playback.

Here is a quick video showing the issue. I'm not sure if it gets through in the video but essentially while playing the playhead can't be moved.
