The string is utf-8-encoded one more time than it is decoded. Perhaps
you wrote the file in utf-8. Perhaps the module doesn't add the correct
encoding, so it isn't decoded.

the file is in utf-8. but this gave me a clue:
i have to set the "File contents charset" to utf-8 in the filesystem module.
now it seems to work fine.

this seems to be a general solution for several problems, among those
it seems to solve also the my last month's posting about utf-8 url
encoding (http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg00004.html)
[to be verified].

i was just not aware of this option. i will extend the unoffical faqs
at http://roxen.sodazitron.at and maybe someone wants to extend the
webserver manual with an section on utf-8 (forms, dbs, filesystems,
urls etc).
