Sorry to be replying to my own message, but I have since found that the problem is entirely due to me. Apparantly I have a non-standard boot on my RPC, something which I didn't know and have no idea how it came about...or perhaps more correctly, can't remember! I copied CallASWI from !System.Modules for the RPCemu !Boot, and it seems that is an old version. The correct version is in !System.310, and it seems it is the update that deals with 32 bit apps etc. So, apologies to Jess who was right, and to anyone else who has spent any time chasing this non-problem. !Techwriter now works OK, by the way.
