No, this is working entirely as expected. HostFS doesn't try to convert filetypes between host and emulated FS, It's primary purpose is to be as accurate a RISC OS filesystem (for within RISC OS) as possible. It gets used as a very convenient way of transfering zip install files onto the emulator. It is also fully compatible with two other common methods of storing filetype info (FTPc, with add filetypes on, and RISC OS NFS), making it easy to import backed up files from real machines. As such mapping between filetypes on host and emulated system is not in any way on the roadmap for hostfs [1] Peter [1] Mainly due to experience of other emulators that attempt this and rapidly turn a file tree into soemthing that doesn't work well on either the host or emulator. -- Peter Howkins [email protected] _______________________________________________ Rpcemu mailing list [email protected] http://www.riscos.info/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/rpcemu
