Is there any particular reason libopenshot appears on that list three times? Just wondering. :-)
As Karel said, I'm not sure what the question is here, but OpenShot on el7 would certainly be compatible with, and benefit from ffmpeg 3.3/3.4. That's the only one I maintain, so I can't really speak for the rest, though I can't imagine audacity, mplayer, mpd, mpv, or vlc having any issues. libquicktime, that's still a thing!? I have it installed on my F28 box, I see, but the only package that requires it is libquicktime-utils so... yeah. Probably no huge loss to dump that one as well, if need be. It doesn't even have support for any of the esoteric codecs, like Sorenson, so it seems like ffmpeg may cover everything it handles. $ lqt_transcode -lv x264: H.264 (MPEG4 AVC) encoder jpeg: JPEG photo mjpa: Motion Jpeg A dv: Quasar DV Codec (NTSC-Mode) dv_pal: Quasar DV Codec (PAL-Mode) raw: RGB uncompressed rawalpha: RGBA uncompressed with alpha v308: 8 bit planar YUV 4:4:4 (v308) v408: 8 bit Planar YUVA 4:4:4:4 (v408) v410: 10 bit Packed YUV 4:4:4 (v410) yuv2: 8 bit Packed YUV 4:2:2 (yuv2) yuv4: YUV 4:2:0 (yuv4) yv12: 8 bit Planar YUV 4:2:0 (yv12) 2vuy: 8 bit Packed YUV 4:2:2 (2vuy) v210: 10 bit packed YUV 4:2:2 (v210) yuvs: 8 bit Packed YUV 4:2:2 (yuvs) rtjpeg: RTjpeg png: PNG pngalpha: PNG (with alpha) schroedinger: Dirac video $ lqt_transcode -la ima4: ima4 rawaudio: Raw 8 bit audio twos: Twos ulaw: Ulaw sowt: Sowt alaw: Alaw in24: 24 bit PCM in32: 32 bit PCM fl32: 32 bit float fl64: 64 bit float lpcm: Linear PCM (QT 7) vorbis: Ogg Vorbis (qt4l compatible) vorbis_qt: Ogg Vorbis (qtcomponents compatible) lame: Lame mp3 encoder On Tue, Sep 4, 2018 at 6:35 AM Nicolas Chauvet <kwiz...@gmail.com> wrote: > Hi there, > > > With the update gstreamer packages to 1.10.4 (that was due in RHEL 7.4 > already), the gstreamer1-libav package has bumped the requirement to > ffmpeg 3.X.
