I'm for keeping 3.3 in EL7 if it makes things a lot easier... EL 8 is around the corner and thus the opportunity to for major updates.
Once CentOS 8 is released my plan is to put most of my energy there and only keep el7 updated if it's easy. Thanks, Richard
