Do you know any reason why it's still out of the kernel tree ?

It is based on Intel's schedule. :(
But I already found that many IPU7 users need this one, like what we did for
IPU6.

Intel also has ipu7-drivers but the driver part stays in upstream staging and
libcamera performs the image processing. So, we don't package ipu7-drivers.
