Unfortunately on paper this should work, but the client itself requires
anyway the 32 bit libraries, and trying to hack it away (removing the
libraries, forcing stuff, etc.) it complains anyway. I got confirmation
from one Valve employee that at the moment there's no way to make the
client work without the 32 bit libraries (and there is no flag to start
directly the steamrt3c variant. Things might change though in the future.

As such SDL3 is available on RHEL10, but not SDL3.i686...


Yes but not on RHEL 9, on which the client still works fine (RHEL 8 glibc
is too old).

I sent an email to the developers mailing list (
[email protected]) titled "Steam package becoming
noarch" which explains the changes but I don't see it in the archives and I
didn't receive it.

Can you please check why?
