That's all well and good but I run a VM that doesn't work to good
without them. Maybe one day nouveau will have provided drivers that will
work in VM. Thank you for your imput.

He is trying to tell you not to use the nVidia drivers and/or
hardware. He is suggesting you should stick with nouveau for nVidia
