I thought the following line meant that, at some point, we had a value of "50" somewhere in the 60 seconds interval. rrdtool update test.rrd 900000125:50 Hence, how come that value isn't reflected in the final result if I'm asking for a "MAX". I can see that some average is made throughout the interval but I don't understand why it's acting like that. A maximum is a maximum. I don't understand why the maximum is in fact the "maximum of an average throughout an interval". > Try the following: > > rrdtool create test.rrd --step 1 --start 900000000 DS:test:GAUGE:600:0:100 > RRA:MAX:0.5:60:576 Yes, I already knew that this would work ... but it still doesn't answer my first question. On the other hand, this brings me a new question ... if I already have some graphs configured with "300 seconds" step, is it possible to convert those in "1 second" step ?
