I have to admit I am a bit puzzled... I only use rsyslog for UDP-logging, so I can't comment on TCP or local domain sockets. I usually run rsyslogd with "-r514" or "-4 -r514". The only log-entries relate to startup or shutdown of rsyslog itself.
