I noticed that the reload command in the rsyslog initscript doesn't do anything
:
reload)
exit 3
;;
I have seen recent discutions about HUP signal and that rsyslog must be
*restarted* to use a new configuration.
I would suggest, to make it clear to all users, to
- either remove the reload command
- either add a warning. For exemple "WARNING : reload command is deprecated,
you must restart $0"
What do you think?
PS : I currently use v7.2.7
