Hi all,

I just wanted to let you know that I intend to release v8 with the new doc
set. As we probably know, it's currently not perfect, but it makes limited
sense to keep both of them updated manually.

Please keep on your mind that the rsyslog-doc project is very open to
contributions, so anyone who is interested can easily help improve the
state of the documentation.

The project is hosted here:

https://github.com/rgerhards/rsyslog-doc

To package maintainers: I'll begin to ship the doc as tarball-in-a-tarball
as we had agreed upon previously on the mailing list.

Thanks,
Rainer
