Hi Michael, I have now fixed this issue.
If interested in the patch, you can see here: https://github.com/rsyslog/rsyslog/commit/ba762b653331f3c97ba2da91cf6a0ab602e6243c I have uploaded the cleaned-up 8.2508.0 tarball: https://www.rsyslog.com/files/download/rsyslog/rsyslog-8.2508.0.tar.gz I understand that you may prefer a 8.2508.1 version as there were changes to configure.ac and Makefile.am. If so, let me know. We would prefer to refer to the release to 8.2508.0, as there are no changes at all in rsyslog itself. Also not in the doc, but of course there was a cleanup to the tarball. Most importantly, I do not want to continue the non-cleaned-up tarball. I know that using the same tarball name may interfer w/ caching. So I know this would not be a perfect solution. Forcing an update without any real changes on the user base IMHO is also not an optimal solution. So I am a bit undecided. Please let me know your thoughts, I appreciate them as they are always well thought-out. Thanks, Rainer PS: I will apply the release tag only after we have finalized the version naming.
