Hi all,

We are pleased to announce the release of liblognorm 2.0.8, the fast
log normalization library.

This is a pure maintenance release aimed at addressing specific border
cases to improve overall stability. While liblognorm is the engine
behind rsyslog’s log normalization capabilities (specifically
mmnormalize), it is as a stand-alone library which is also used by
other projects. This update is recommended for all users.

This version addresses two specific issues: a potential segmentation
fault occurring on specific platforms and a memory leak related to
custom type mismatches in rules.

We would like to thank our community members, Julian Thomas and Meric
Sentunali, for their contributions and vigilance in reporting and
fixing these issues.

As always, feedback is appreciated.

Rainer
