Sorry, I thought I had the answer for you but it seems that something else is going on with perl Makefile.PL. I do have rt installed at /opt/rt3 and 'perl Makefile.PL' does find it there. Now I know of a couple of extensions that ask where RT.pm (AssetTracker) if it can't find it. Don't know how perl figures out that I have rt in /opt/rt3. It certainly isn't in my @INC What could be your problem is that you might have two different perls. One for solaris and one specific for RT? and that in this case you're using the wrong one, just a shot in the dark.
