I haven't used RTAI for arm, but it seems that you need
the rmk7 patch for linux-2.4.19:
http://ftp.arm.linux.org.uk/pub/armlinux/source/kernel-patches/v2.4/patch-2.4.19-rmk7.bz2
And, after you've applied rmk7 you probably need tux1
but I don't know where to get, but google is your friend :)

If you want to use RTAI in an ARM you need the hal patch.

no problem - If you're a beginner you should first try to build a normal
non-rt kernel and see if it works on your hardware. Then you can
continue with RTAI.
