What our client is looking for?
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Database Architect with deep expertise in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-level database systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience across database platforms, Linux environments, data modeling tools, reporting tools, cloud data services, and ETL technologies.
Primary Responsibilities
• Analyze business and application requirements to define database structures.
• Design logical and physical data models for OLTP and data warehouse systems.
• Install, configure, and administer databases on Linux environments.
• Perform performance tuning, backup/recovery, and security management.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes using DataStage or related tools.
• Support metadata management and governance using IBM Cloud Pak for Data.
• Develop and maintain dashboards/reports using IBM Cognos Analytics.
• Work with Snowflake, BigQuery, Oracle, and DB2 for data management and optimization.
• Collaborate with analysts, developers, and data science teams.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance.
Experience / Preferred Qualifications
• 7+ years of experience as a senior Database Architect.
• 6+ years of DB2, Oracle, and Google Cloud database administration.
• 7+ years of Red Hat Linux administration & scripting.
• 7+ years of data modeling using Erwin Data Modeler.
• 7+ years of IBM Cognos Analytics (Framework Manager, Data Modules, Report Studio).
• 5+ years of data warehousing on Oracle/DB2/BigQuery.
• 5+ years of ETL development using IBM DataStage.
• 5+ years of IBM Cloud Pak for Data (Knowledge Catalog).
• 7+ years of Snowflake data warehouse experience.
• 7+ years of AI/ML experience (data prep, model deployment, monitoring).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (degree copy required).
