I don't like the names of _Thread_Set_exit_status() and _Thread_Get_exit_status(). They are misleading because there is no such thing as a thread's "exit_status".
We have also _Thread_Stop_multitasking() and _Thread_Start_multitasking() which use these new functions. From the parameter list its clear that these functions don't operate on a particular thread, since in this case they would have a thread parameter.
Maybe use _Thread_Get_global_exit_status() and _Thread_Set_global_exit_status()?
