I don't disagree with you at all Sonja....But I see the parents argument in
this too....And yes everybody should make out a living will, so that these
decisions aren't left up to anybody else....Jamie

This all comes down to quality of life. Why is it that we can be humane
to animals but not to people?
As a mother I understand the "anything it takes to keep my child here"
mantra, but at some point you have to think about what the child's quality
of life actually is. Some will say that I don't know what Terri feels or
doesn't feel. That's true, but I know I would not want to be like that.
Not being able to communicate and live a normal life, yes, I would want
someone to let me go.
This is the very reason it is so important for all of us to make our
wishes known when we are still in a [somewhat] rational state of mind.
