Maybe should you use the initrd facility.
Hava a look to any singlafloppy distribution.
This initial RamDisk (initrd) is loaded at boot time by the boot loader
and then kernel use it as a root filesystem temporary. You can write your
one init scripts which will early load your RT module from this ramdisk.
