Hi Dyd,

For footprint, read size.  Dave's trying to work out how small you can
make a viable Linux system.  Incidentally we have delivered x86 systems
for the last year that can boot and run RT applications from a floppy
sized image in less than 8 Megs of RAM.  I think this could be reduced
further (with effort).
