I am running an RTL module which schedules some periodic tasks (about 10
tasks with the same period in the order of 1 sec.) to activate the output
ports of a Computerboard PCI-DIO-48H card.
This module works well once successfuly launched. But after a machine
boot-up, trying to insmod the module causes 'sometimes' a complete machine
hang and I have to hard-reset the computer. I have to boot a few times
before beeing able to insmod the module successfuly.

I am using rtl 2.0 with kernel 2.2.13.
The processor is a celeron 400 MHz.

Have you got any idea to help me ?

thanks,

Sam.
