Given the others advice, I think you've probably fixed this
by now. I'd just like to relay a related problem I have had.
With kernel 2.4.0.test1 (whether or not I apply the rt patch),
I can't get my floppy drive to mount correctly. First I get a
'Drive is write protected, mounting as read only'
then, after ~10 seconds, I get the standard
'Mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/fd0,
or too many mounted file systems'
I'm quite sure that I'm using the correct fs, no options, there
is no bad superblock and indeed I don't have too many mounted
file systems.
Anyway, if I move to kernel 2.4.0.test7, the floppy drive works
fine. For the time being, I'm using kernel 2.2.16-rt-3.0.pre7 for
real time stuff, and that suits me fine.
Has anyone else had similar problems with the
floppy driver for the 2.4.0.test1 kernel?
