Hai,

I am sure that the FSM Labs guys will chime in as well, but I will give you the rough outline first.

There is only one version of RTL3.0(final).  It can be run with either the 2.2.18 kernel or the 2.4.0-test1 kernel.  The 2.4.1 kernel work is still experimental at this stage.  There are no differences in the API for RTLinux due to the kernels.  The only difference is in the build process when you have to patch the kernel source appropriately.

Again - there is no difference from the RTLinux users perspective between the two (three) kernel choices.

Regards,

Steve Cohen

Subject: [rtl] Is there any difference in the RTL API level between the 2 versions of RTLinux?

Dear all,

Seems to me that RTL3.0(final) has two versions, one is based on 2.2.18 kernel and the other is based on 2.4.1 kernel. Are there any differences in the RTL API level of these two? If there are, is there some documents list all of the difference?
Best wishes
Hai Xu
