In the list archive should be a message from me about a more recent version
of RTLinux for PPC. It's in ftp.fsmlabs.com/pub/rtlinux/v3/linux_v242/ and
is only for PowerPC. A patched kernel is not necessary.

} linux-2.4.1:
} - RTL_3.0 does not compile for 2.4.1/ppc  ("disarm_decr" is not
} yet implemented in 2.4.1). At least the "core" module (rtl.o)
} compiles. However, it is as easy to freeze the system as with
}    linux-2.4.3 (described below).
}
} Even if "rtl.o" is successfully inserted on a quiet machine it
} renders the system unstable (it will freeze eventually).
}
} linux-2.4.3:
} - it is possible to patch 2.4.3 and compile RTL_3.0 for 2.4.3.
} However, RTL is very unstable - it's easy to freeze the system
} while loading the (rtl) modules: e.g. "find /" while running
} the rtl insertion script will do the job.
}
} Is anyone out there using RTL_3.0 / linux-2.4.1 on a powerpc?
}
} Regards.
}
} Till.
