Why using a historic kernel as baseline? This is apparently e1000e
driver version 1.0.2-k2 while upstream as at 1.5.1-k!

Let's see of that works out: I will try to merge the latest version with
your RTnet adaption. :)

Generally, I like your approach of first importing vanilla and then
adjusting it for RTnet - keeps that step as part of the development history.
