Hi All, I have just uploaded some pics of our first open house at the annual meet the grade 8's night. The grade 8's toured our school in groups of 15 and visited all the 'hot spots'.
The pics are in the files section in a folder called School Model Railroad Club. The event was a success. The club members rose to the call and have spent most of last week and this week working on the layout after school. The shots show our two main track layers, Joe Nguyen, grade nine and Chris Caines grade 10. This evening, we all stayed through supper until 9:00. Our principal bought us pizza dinner. Our power supply is an old PFM Sound System. I just got another off of EBay for only $15.00 so we will have two sound throttles. It seems that no one wants them anymore with the emergence of DCC. They are good throttles and to these kids, the PFM is just fine! The loco that they latched onto is my OMI USRA light Pacific wired for PFM. I am going to put a speaker in the SHS diesel, add a tape unit to the PFM and pipe a diesel thrum through it. By the end of the night, after we saw about 120 grade eights, the guys started to clown around. Mihn made a Mr. Bill to put on the track and Josh pretended to eat the train by making his mouth a tunnel at the end of the line.
